Blog #2- Everyday Life in my Eyes
School is winding down with only two more weeks until Finals, which means there’s about three more weeks until the Topeka, KS race! In addition to learning how to drive a stick shift, I’ve been so busy catching up on projects, homework, and papers so I will be happy when I can get a break and go to the racetrack! I’ve been at home going to school and baby-sitting Ashley’s cat Simba, while the rest of my family is out at the race track, so I’m ready to join them. My dad currently turned 60 and is still as dedicated to drag racing, as he was when he started. I’m so excited for this summer, because it will be full of traveling, races, and spending time with my family! Also, my sister comes home from New York soon and I can’t wait to see her! In addition to an already exciting summer, I will also be turning 21 on June 20th!!! My sister Ashley and my mom, Laurie, have been helping me plan a trip with friends and family for my big birthday and I’m so thrilled! I’m so lucky to have such a caring family that finds time in their busy schedules to plan something special for my birthday! My best friend, Nicole just celebrated her birthday and we took her out to dinner in the Ford Fiesta. Earlier that day, my friend and I surprised her by decorating her car while she was working at Luca Bella Salon. After a fun weekend, I am back to work in the office and back to school at Cal State University of Fullerton. Last week, my dad got the chance to take the Fiesta out for a ride, as you might have seen in my YouTube.com video. That was such a fun day with my parents, and I really enjoyed hearing his input on what he thought about the car. In addition to that YouTube.com video, I took it on my own to show everyone what it was really about. Over the weekend, I got inside the trunk to show how roomy it really was and took it through a drive thru to see what the drive thru attendant thought while ordering my Iced Tea (which did not come sweetened by the way). The Ford Fiesta even got to be apart of its first car show which was at John Force Racing, but this gave it a chance to give everyone a better look at the car, instead of just hearing me talk about it via the social networking sites. Although my week has just begun, I have already started counting down the days until my next race in Topeka, KS and I’m working as hard as possible to get through these classes at school and stay ahead of schedule. I plan to have two separate blogs a week, one on the adventures in my Ford Fiesta, and one just updating you on the weekly occurrences of my life. Hope you guys enjoy them!

The Fiesta Blog #2- Training with Dad and the adventures
I’m officially Agent15!!! I have been so busy taking my Fiesta around town, and back and forth from the shop to my home that I didn’t even realize I’m getting pretty good at driving a stick shift! I thought this day would never come! Now I know what everyone must be thinking… You drive a racecar that goes 260 mph and you can’t drive a stick? Well, yes this is true. But not anymore!!!! I haven’t stalled it at a stop in a about a week, so I think I’m getting pretty good. My first actual experience of driving a stick shift was in an ‘88 Ford Fiesta (believe it or not) and my crew chief Jerry Darien taught me.
This first experience only allowed me to drive it in circles around the shop, probably in the interest of safety for the passengers at the time. My first day out on the street in a stick shift was when my dad tried to teach me, before my own Ford Fiesta arrived. However, this driving experience wasn’t as enjoyable. If you could only imagine being stuck in a car with my dad yelling to shove in the clutch, let off the gas, push in the brake and steer all at the same time, I started to get stressed out. His teaching methods are a lot different than most people. My dad thinks the best way to teach my sisters and me things, is to put us in the worst-case scenario, so if we can manage that then we should succeed. This shouldn’t always be the case. Nonetheless, he decided to take me to the steepest hills in Yorba Linda to learn how to drive a stick, and I’ve never stalled a car so many times in my life. But, now I’m not afraid to drive on hills!! Now that I have the Fiesta and I’m capable of driving it around town on my own, I’ve taken it everywhere! My friends always ask me to drive now because everyone wants to see the Ford Fiesta, and it’s so much fun! I’ve already begun the adventures. My friends and I drove it around town trying to figure out how the voice activation in the car works. Rently, I picked my “Mission” as an agent for the month of May in the Fiesta. I decided to pick “Do You Have Any Idea Where You Are?” This mission, calls for me to blindfold a friend and take them somewhere in the Fiesta, while having them guess where they are going! I’m excited because I already have so many ideas to what I want to do for it! In addition, I will be making a video and posting it up soon! I will keep everyone updated on when the video gets posted, via the social networking sites. I plan to have two separate blogs a week, one on the adventures in my Ford Fiesta, and one just updating you on the weekly occurrences of my life. Hope you guys enjoy them!

My Life Inside and Outside of Drag Racing
4-24-09
Now that I am one of the new Fiesta “Agents”, I’m glad I am getting a little break from traveling to the race track…. As much as I love being there. I’m back from the races from getting #1 qualifier in Houston, TX, then #3 qualifier at Las Vegas Divisional, which hasn’t been too bad! I’ve been practicing in the car by getting seat time at races and I’ve been working to improve my lights so I can get my first second-round win in my Sanyo Supercharged HD dragster! In the meantime, I am a full time student at Cal State University of Fullerton, and I’m a junior trying to get all of my major courses and general ed out of the way. I am studying Communications with an emphasis on Entertainment Studies. I chose this field to help me gain practice with speaking in front of people and feeling more comfortable in cases where I will need to do an interview or any public speech, since I hope to have drag racing in my life as a career in the long run… But we will see what happens! I love racing my Sanyo A-Fuel Dragster on the weekends, even though it’s a challenge to get my homework done while I’m there. I’ve been so busy lately, but am happy to do it! I’ve had homework, projects, exams, and finals to get ready for at school, so I’ve had a busy schedule. This week I got a great opportunity to not only be one of the new Fiesta “Agents” but to also film a video for my sponsor Sanyo, as well. I filmed for two-days at the JFR shop in Yorba Linda, CA from the second I got out of school until the end of the day. It was so much fun, because I have never done anything like this. I plan to have two separate blogs a week, one on the adventures in my Ford Fiesta, and one just updating you on the weekly occurrences of my life. Hope you guys enjoy them!

I'm the new Ford Fiesta Agent!
4-24-09
I am officially a new Ford Fiesta Agent! First off, I would like to thank everyone who watched my audition video on YouTube.com to help me get picked to be one of the new "Agents"! On April 19th and 20th I participated in a two-day training course along with some of the other West Coast Fiesta Agents. 100 people were chosen nationally to drive the new Ford Fiestas and help get the word out about this car that will be coming to North America in 2010! I'm so lucky to have this opportunity and so honored to be one of the new "Agents". Our training course was held in Venice, CA where we learned about the car and got to know one another. The second day was the most exciting because we took a bus to a local race track where we saw the unveiling of the Ford Fiesta and finally got to see the car. We were handed our keys all we were told was the color of our car. It was so thrilling getting off the bus and running to find which car was ours... mine being the "Panther Black"! The agents had color choices between green, black, silver, and hot magenta and were also given the choice as to which graphics we wanted. Since I was so new to the graphics idea, I decided against adding any to my car. However, I may have some regrets because the different graphics the other agents got were awesome! I took my car home and drove it around town to try to get a better feel of driving a stick shift. This is a 5-speed car, with great gas mileage (somewhere between 30-40mpg), zoomy look on the outside and a sleek look on the inside! The car came with blue tooth (hands-free dialing), a USB port for your I-Pod, voice activation to control your climate control, phone calls, radio tune, etc. This car has everything! I've had so much fun driving it around and showing it to all my friends and giving them rides. My friends and I have nicknamed the Ford Fiesta the "Black Panther" since that's the color of it. I have taken my parents on a ride in it and even let them take the car for a test-drive. My dad loved it and had a lot to say about it, along with those daily "life-long lessons" he loves to give me. There have already been many people stopping to ask me about my car and even people staring at me and the car while I am driving by. It is already catching the eye of the public, which is so exciting! All in all I can already tell there are many adventures awaiting me within the Ford Fiesta Movement! I'll keep you all posted with blogs as often as I can to keep you informed and updated on the events in the Fiesta. Also, you can visit these sites for other updates:
